Fiction competition program
10 April, 18:00 - Peramoga Cinema, 20 Internacijanalnaja Str.

Fiction film is a collaborative work of its authors' and viewers' imagination, but it happens that precisely at times when authors' imagination leads the viewer particularly far from real life, the film can become truly realistic. Directors forge their own world, but it's a world that points at something that can be found in our common environment. There's room for many things in our program. There's a strange doubling at a small-time carnival in a nightclub, a fresh take on the customary "girl and a gun" motif, lyrical pseudo-documentality and meditations on human nature which are sometimes ironic but always involved and involving. After all, if cinema is life with the dull bits cut out, then a short film doesn't have time to be boring at all.
